Fall is in the air.....

Fall is so in the air....I can smell it...feel it...taste it. My favorite time of year. I love all of the colors...the smells. I am itching to put out all of my pumpkins, gourds, wreaths, etc. I am excited about taking Emerson to a pumpkin patch. I wish we lived up north where they have apple orchards, etc. The pumpkin patches here are already picked. The McIntosh festival is next month...Halloween...I'm almost giddy with excitement. Now I have to decide what to do with the doodle...do I get her an actual costume or what???

We just returned from a 3 day trip to the beach with some friends and their kid and grandchild respectively. We got to spend a little time at the beach and the pool but the weather was a bit uncooperative. I look at it as a goodbye to summer!!! Emerson hated the ocean....and I think she wanted to eat the sand!!! Guess like mother like daughter...I like the idea of the beach...I love the sand between my toes but I don't really care for actually swimming in the ocean..I like to walk on the edge of the tide!!!

So here's to wood burning fireplaces and large glasses of San Sebastian's Vintner's red wine!!!
